MAGVEL FADER PRO crossfader

Large effect levers

Take full control of your performance with the 2 large effect levers of the same size as those the DJM-S11. You can control up to 57 effects in Serato DJ Pro (including paid Expansion Packs). You can hold them down or release them to turn the effect on / off, or lock them on so your hands are free to browse and scratch tracks while the effect is still applied. You can even save your favourite effects to 2 banks for instant access when needed.

Versatile Performance Pads

Take your creativity to the next level with 13 different pad modes including Hot Cue and Sampler. The 4 large Performance Pads on each deck, measuring 20.6 mm x 20.6 mm, allow you to trigger samples and explore endless remix possibilities in real-time, adding unique textures to your music.

Scratch Cutter feature

With the Scratch Cutter function on the DJM-S5, you can start scratching right away, even if you’re new to the technique. Choose from one of six cutting patterns, and activate Scratch Cutter using the effects lever. Then, simply move the control vinyl or jog wheel (if using DVS control) forward and backward on the deck, and the mixer will apply a cutting effect in time with the music, simulating the popular transformer scratch technique. This feature allows you to focus on mastering your timing with the control vinyl before moving on to more advanced techniques with the crossfader.

Crossfader Hot Cue feature

With the Crossfader Hot Cue feature, you can create scratch-like sounds with ease. Simply move the crossfader away from the edge, and the track or sample on the deck will play from the most recent Hot Cue point. Repeat this action in rhythm with your crossfader movements to create a scratch-like sound, without the need to move the control vinyl on the deck. It’s a quick and easy way to add some extra flair to your mixes.

USB power and versatile standalone mixer

With the DJM-S5, you can power your mixer through the USB connection to your computer, making it the first Pioneer DJ mixer to offer this feature and a greater flexibility. Enjoy the freedom to practice and perform wherever you go, whether it’s your garden, a park, or the beach with your portable turntables. This versatile mixer can also be used as a standalone mixer, allowing you to play music from various sources, including analogue vinyl records. Despite being powered by USB, the DJM-S5 produces a bright sound that enhances all genres of music.
